Introduction: High Scool Nutrition
Recently, High Schools have been so adamant about providing the necessary
nutrients for their students. Rules and regulations are being created to control
the lunches provided to high school students so that they are able to get the
necessary nutrients required to get through the day. Do not think that
the nutritional needs for high school student is the same for elementary school
students across the nation; adolescents require a different set of nutritional guidelines.
There are a whole set of reasons why high school nutrition is so much
more different than elementary school nutrition. Teenagers eating habits are
much different than that of an eight year old elementary student. The whole
itself in the high school cafeteria is much different than that of
an elementary school cafeteria, as well as the regulations and policies for high
school nutrition. An example is the opportunity for open lunch in high school,
which is exclusive to high school students only. The question is, are high school
students being provided the necessary nutrition they require in order to stay healthy
and keep up with class?
